Dear friends of the SALZ publishing house,
We would like to cordially invite you to the book presentation of SUMMERPRINT 1 in the producer gallery Dresden on 10.11.2018 from 19 clock.
SUMMERPRINT 1 is the title of the first print session, which took place in the course of the opening of the new graphicstudio Priebu 18, as well the title of the resulting artist book, which will be presented in the producer gallery Dresden on November 10 2018.
In the period from 25.8. until 2.9.2018, Theo Boettger, Andreas Hildebrandt, Clemens Reinecke, Cornelia Renz and Silvio Zesch met in the recently completed new graphicstudio Priebu 18, in order to inaugurate them with the SUMMERPRINT 1. The aim of the session was from the beginning the teamwork on different various single sheets and on a new artist’s book. The content of the book is kept quite open and as far as the techniques are concerned, the participating artists had at their disposal various high-pressure techniques and silkscreen printing, which were combined with each other. The classic linocut, print with apples and carotts and the printing of other materials, was used and various technical possibilities of screen printing were used. Each of the involved artists created a multicolored single sheet for the book and all together developed in parallel several common sheets, which form the contents of the book. The covers of the books were again treated in a similar way to the single sheets created parallel to the book and thus have a unique character. The book is published by SALZ-Verlag in a limited edition of 20 numbered and signed copies.
We would be very pleased about your visit and your interest and send warm greetings.
