a new artist’s book is published:
2012 | Eckehard Fuchs | LIBRONERO
11 lithographies (content), 1 lithography (cover) and letterpress on 230 g/qm Hahnemuehle handmade paper, Hardcover, 24 pages, 27 x 19 cm, thread stitching, edition: 25 num./sign., 3 e.a. sign., 3 e.a. sign./handcolored, 5 h.c. sign.
The artist Eckehard Fuchs developed the artist’s book LIBRONERO in support of pencil drawings. In this book he used different graphic possibilities of the lithography. LIBRONERO summarises pure chalk and Indian ink drawings, their combination, and also pages, which are developed by polishing and scratching the drawing on the lithographic stone.
In Eckehard Fuchs’ “black book”, less sinful or even criminal is found, than rather motives, which leads straight through classical genres of the art history. Worlds of plants, animals and figures come together and complex compositions complement clear and easy basic ideas. This first meeting with lithograph turns out very inspiring and reveals the spontaneous and playful handling of the artist with the new technology. LIBRONERO makes at the same time curious, how the artist will use this technology in future further for his work.
A wonderful book! We are glad to inform you about this publication and recommend it on the warmest!
We look forward to hearing from you!
